Salloum & Co., one among the oldest law firms of Abu Dhabi was established in the year 1983. With an exceptional tradition that roots beyond two decades, the firm is reckoned to have a decisive role in the legal arena of the United Arab Emirates with both local and cross-jurisdictional expertise. Salloum & Co. bears the name of its founder, Adv. Samir A. Salloum and is directly managed by him. Adv. Salloum was first called to the Beirut bar, Lebanon in 1969, admitted to the French bar, and is an advocate pleading at the Federal Courts in the UAE. His academic achievements would include Master’s Degrees in French Law, Lebanese Law and Political Science. He handles English, Arabic and French with equal ease.

Adv. Salloum is a longstanding member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). He is one among the prominent arbitrators in the panel of the Abu Dhabi Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration Center (ADCCAC). He holds the office of Foreign Trade Counselor to the French Government.

Adv. Salloum was a member of various National Committees entrusted with legislative responsibilities, for both the Federation of the UAE and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. He has acted as the legal advisor for the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, for a long span of one and half decades. He has done commendable services in reorganizing the commercial section of the Municipality of Dubai, as the expert appointed by the United Nations Development Project.

Adv. Salloum has received myriad international governmental and other awards for his distinguished services and civil achievements, notably:

a. Italian National Order of Merit “Cavaliere”;
b. Italian National Order of Merit “Commodore”;
c. Spanish National Order of Merit “Cruz de Caballero”; and
d. French National Order of Merit “Chevalier”.

Adv. Salloum is also a well acclaimed lecturer on the corporate, commercial and banking laws in the UAE.
