Leading Baltic law firms team up to combine local experience and knowledge
On 19 April 2004, leading law firms from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania announced the formation of Lawin, a unique group of foremost Baltic law firms which will be the largest legal service provider in the Baltic States.
The prominent law firms establishing Lawin are Klavins & Slaidins from Latvia, Lepik & Luhaäär from Estonia and Lideika, Petrauskas, Valiūnas ir partneriai from Lithuania.
The aim of Lawin is to combine the knowledge and expertise and the talented human resources of each of the three firms to provide integrated legal services of the highest quality to regional investors throughout the three Baltic countries. Lawin will initially have a combined 68 lawyers and assistant lawyers, making it the single largest legal presence working in the Baltics.

New partner in LAW FIRM LIDEIKA, pETRAUSKAS, VALIŪNAS IR PARTNERIAI
Prior to joining Lideika, Petrauskas, Valiūnas ir partneriai in 1998, Žilvinas Zinkevičius worked as a legal adviser in the USAID sponsored Lithuanian Securities Market Development Project and was also a financial broker licensed by the Lithuanian Securities Commission. During recent years Mr Zinkevičius has worked extensively on corporate and securities matters and participated in a number of major mergers and acquisitions, privatisations, joint ventures, foreign investment and financing projects. Currently, Mr Zinkevicius is an active member of the Union Internationale des Avocats (the world’s oldest international association of bars, bar associations and law societies), where in 2001 he was elected the National Vice-President for Lithuania.
